Outgoing research staff

Members of the teaching staff of the Universidade de Vigo have a series of programmes at their disposal that aim to promote their mobility; they can participate in international cooperation activities or teach through projects organised by collaborating universities.

Erasmus+ Programme

The Erasmus+ Programme offers the opportunity to carry out a temporary teaching (STA) or training activity (STT) in a higher education centre with countries with which agreements have been signed in Europe or with institutions from non-EU countries: Erasmus+ KA131 and Erasmus+ KA171.

This opportunity is available to all teaching staff working at the UVigo. These experiences and exchanges contribute to improving language skills and cultural knowledge of the destination country, in addition to offering a new perspective on pedagogical practices and approaches.

The Erasmus+ KA131 programme allows mobility to be carried out in a higher education institution in Europe or in institutions in non-EU countries with which an agreement has been signed.

The STA modality allows the UVigo teaching staff to travel to teach in the selected country.

In the case of the STT modality, the UVigo staff may carry out training activities in foreign institutions. During the visit the staff will be able to meet their counterparts, discover other teaching and learning modalities and different university systems, and hold interviews with the students sent by the UVigo or with the future students who will be received.

This mobility can be carried out independently or combined (STA+STT).

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short-term intensive programmes that are part of the new Erasmus+ Programme 2021/2027 and use innovative learning and teaching methods, including online collaborative working.

By allowing new and more flexible mobility formats that combine physical mobility with a virtual component, intensive blended programmes aim to reach all types of participants, from any background, field of study and cycle.

Each Erasmus+ BIP is organised by a group of at least 3 universities from 3 different countries.

In this case, the teaching staff can participate in combined teaching stays (STA) and/or training stays (STT) and also have the opportunity to present a proposal to coordinate a BIP with other universities.
