Support centres
The research support centres have as their objective the provision of instrumental, scientific, and technological assistance in all areas of knowledge, in research, development and innovation works, whether they are developed by ourselves at this university or by other public bodies or enterprises, providing equipment and facilities that, because of their specificness, technological level, or cost, are best maintained centrally.
Centre for Scientific and Technological Support for Research (CACTI)
This has been our commitment to quality basic and applied research both nationally and internationally since 1991. Among the centre’s aims are the acquisition, management, and centralised use of large-scale equipment to provide scientific and technological support to members of the university community as well as to Public Research Bodies (PRBs) nationally and internationally, and private entities in our environment.
Centre for Research, Tranfer, and Innovation (CITI)
The CITI seeks to strengthen the development of R&D&I in companies by creating spaces for collaboration to foster and transfer knowledge from the university to the business world by means of joint R&D&I projects related with agri-food, biotechnology, energy, environment, and information technologies.
Toralla Marine Science Station (ECIMAT)
This is the main infrastructure for marine research of the CIM (Uvigo’s Marine Research Centre) and the University of Vigo. It offers cutting-edge facilities on the seafront and specialised scientific/technical services to any public or private body interested in marine research.
